Young drivers who complete MSV YoungDrive! can progress to YoungDrive! Plus, featuring higher speeds, more advanced manoeuvres and continued one-to-one instruction.

Sessions take place in a dual-controlled Hyundai, with a choice of the i20 Black Line (petrol, manual) or the all-electric INSTER - both providing a modern, engaging experience on a safe, controlled circuit. The Experience

YoungDrive! Plus is aimed at junior drivers who have successfully completed the YoungDrive! programme and are ready to take the next step. This course features more time behind the wheel and one-to-one instruction, building on existing skills while retaining a strong sense of fun.

The programme includes:

  • Building up speed – up to 50mph in closed-off sections of the venue
  • Reversing and parking
  • Turn in the road
  • Following at a safe distance
  • Emergency stop
  • Guide to using road markings and signs to understand junctions and roundabouts
  • Focus on concentration, control, observation and smoothness
  • Tips on basic vehicle maintenance

All vehicles are fitted with dual controls, and pupils are accompanied throughout by a highly trained instructor to ensure a safe, supportive learning environment.

The YoungDrive! Plus voucher includes cancellation cover free of charge. Spectators are permitted at no additional charge. At Bedford Autodrome, a maximum of two spectators is permitted and all must be aged 16 or over. For additional spectators, please contact the venue directly. Vehicle choice subject to availability.

YoungDrive! Plus experiences are available at the following times:

  • Brands Hatch in Kent on selected midweek and weekend dates
  • Oulton Park in Cheshire on selected weekend dates, plus some school holiday dates
  • Donington Park in the East Midlands on selected weekend and some school holiday dates all year round (more limited availability)
  • Bedford Autodrome on selected weekend dates, plus some school holiday dates (more limited availability)

Duration

This young driver experience lasts approximately 2 hours in total, including arrival time at the venue (30 minutes), registration, briefings and around 50 minutes' driving time.

When you order from MSV you will receive a gift pack that explains everything you need to redeem a voucher and book a driving experience day. All gift packs contain details on the relevant driving activities and include a personalised voucher and venue details.
