Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need a driving license?
With the exception of the YoungDrive!, YoungDrive! Plus and SuperRide experiences, all participants must have held a full driving license for at least one year. You must be able to drive manual transmission vehicles unless taking part in the BMW M4 Master. If you only have the paper counterpart, please bring this and some identification with you on the day.
Q: How long will I be at the venue?
For all of our Master experiences, you will need to allow around 2 hours for the experience and Ignition packages you will only need to allow up to an hour. The YoungDrive! experience will take around 1 hour whilst the YoungDrive! Plus is around 2 hours. SuperRides only take up to 30 minutes. You need to arrive 30 minutes before your start time.
Q: Can I bring people with me?
Spectators are more than welcome. There are places to view from, as well as to get food and drink. Please note, due to lack of available space we can only allow 2 spectators over the age of 16 per driver at Bedford Autodrome.
Q: Will there be photographs and in-car filming?
At some events there will be a photographer taking pictures on the day and you will be able to find the photographs at www.msvphotography.co.uk
Please note: In-car filming and Go Pros are not permitted.
Q: Can I bring my own helmet?
You can bring your own helmet with you and it will be checked on the day to ensure it complies with our regulations.
Q: What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing and shoes which are suitable for driving. We ask that you wear a long-sleeved top and trousers with the exception of the YoungDrive! experiences.
Q: What happens if there is bad weather?
Driving experiences will run in all weather types, particularly off-road activities. If an event cannot operate due to severe weather, and if it's due to take place within weekday hours, we will try to contact you as soon as we are certain that the experience will not be going ahead. Alternatively, please contact the venue directly. In the event of full cancellation you will be allowed to rebook your experience within 3 months of the original experience date.
Q: Are there any restrictions?
Each experience has its own height, weight and age restrictions. Please check the specific experience page to check this, or if you are unsure then you can contact us on 0344 225 4425.
Q: Where should I go on the day?
You will receive a confirmation email that will have a link at the bottom for directions. This will show you which entrance you should come to and where you need to go for registration. Please contact us with any queries.
Q: What happens if I cannot attend my experience due to an emergency?
Once a participant has booked a date for a driving activity, we reserve the car, instructor and circuit time. If that participant then chooses to cancel, he or she will be in breach of contract and we are entitled to retain all monies paid.
However, if the nominated driver is unable to attend and you wish to send a replacement driver, we are happy to accept substitutes up to the time of signing on, provided we have written authorisation from either the purchaser or the nominated driver, and the nominated substitute complies with all relevant criteria.
We appreciate that in some extreme circumstances cancellation may be unavoidable - for example a serious medical condition or a close family bereavement. For that reason most of our vouchers include cancellation cover as standard. Our policy document can be found here.
